UV-reflecting filters are used for testing material ageing, for curing plastics and paint or for drying adhesives and inks.
Borofloat / Float glass / Clear glass | 3 mm | from 20 x 20 mm to 1,080 x 800 mm |
Borofloat / Float glass / Clear glass | 4 mm | from 20 x 20 mm to 1,080 x 800 mm |
Borofloat / Float glass / Clear glass | 5 mm | from 20 x 20 mm to 1,080 x 800 mm |
In addition, we also provide even smaller filter sizes with less material thickness.
We can cut the filters round as well as in any other shape – please see Customised Glass Cutting Service.
Concentrated sunlight is used to accelerate material ageing. Using a defined number of mirrors, the sunlight is directed onto the material to be tested. To avoid heating up the materials inadmissibly due to the sunlight’s high IR content, the URBB filter only reflects the wavelength range of 310 - 550 nm. The exact wavelength range is determined in each case with the customer. This makes it possible to apply up to 20 times the sun's dose and to obtain correspondingly rapid information on light-induced material ageing.
Our filter types:
Filter types | Reflection maximum | |
---|---|---|
URBB | Rmax >= 70 % at 250-350 nm Broadband reflection | 17 kB |
UR 350-0 | Rmax >= 96 % at 350 nm also available for use below 45° | 17 kB |
UR 260-0 | Rmax >= 93 % at 350 nm | 17 kB |
Selective radiation via reflection - radiation with UV light.
For radiation with UV light, e.g. for curing plastics or for drying adhesives and printing inks
